Among the most startling, controversial, and historic collectibles extant, restaurant or otherwise, is Coon Chicken Inn memorabilia. In operation for over thirty years, Coon Chicken Inn was founded by M. L. Graham in Salt Lake City in 1924. Named after a recipe acquired by Graham, the Utah restaurant was so successful he opened two more ‚ on in Seattle in 1929, the other in Portland, Oregon, a year later.
This in-depth collection (with accompanying documentation) was assembled over a twenty-year period by Lester Silva, arguably America's foremost authority on restaurant china, and is almost surely the largest of its kind.
