City Garage, resident company at Track 16, Bergamot Station, under the patronage of Tom Patchett, is proud to announce the West Coast premiere of Neil LaBute's Filthy Talk for Troubled Times. LaBute, known for his biting portrayals of misogynistic and deceitful men, subtitles the work "scenes of intolerance." City Garage, working with LaBute, is presenting the play in the entirely new setting of an opening at a high-end art gallery. In this provocative conception by director Frédérique Michel, featuring the paintings of Cameron Jordan, the art objects on display are naked females, but the drunk male patrons remain just as conflicted, angry, and baffled as ever by the eternal mystery of women.

This special project is a collaboration with the Robert Berman Gallery, running in conjunction with its show featuring the work of photographer Gerald Slota and the prose of Neil LaBute, Home.Sweet.Home. The shows will run together during the exhibition.
