In conjunction with the Santa Monica Museum of Art, Track 16 presents:

SMMoA Exhibition Programs for The Donkey Show

The Donkey Show: A Conversation
7pm at Track 16 Gallery

Join us for a conversation with cultural anthropologist and graphic design historian Jim Heimann, author and music scholar Josh Kun, and Bill Nericcio, author of Tex[t]-Mex: Seductive Hallucinations of the ”Mexican” in America. The Donkey Show, a SMMoA exhibition in Project Room 1, is an audio-visual exploration of the intersection of myth and reality in Tijuana, focused on American expectations, misconceptions, and fantasies of Mexico; it features two different donkeys—one real, the other imaginary.

The Donkey Show Party
8pm in the SMMoA courtyard

Revel in a celebration of The Donkey Show with music by DJ Clorofila (from the Nortec Collective) and visuals by VJ CRO. Bring your camera and take a picture on our one-of-a-kind custom donkey cart by Gary Garay. Complimentary beverages provided.

FREE Admission
